Inter-Livery Ski Championship

Ski lift passes

We have again been able to obtain preferential rates from the lift company (S.A. Telepherique Du Pleney).

Below are rates for the two types of pass.

  1. The Morzine / Les Gets pass covers the area we will use for the races.

  2. The Portes du Soleil pass also covers all the connected areas from Avoriaz right across the region.

There may be a further discount for concessions (e.g over 60) etc.

For those people staying for the whole week, it should be possible to buy the PDS pass for the first few days and the Morzine/LesGets pass for the competition days.    If you are only coming out for the competition days, the Morzine/LG pass should be all you need.

UNLIKE last year you will NOT need vouchers from the Tourist Office. The lift office at the bottom of Pleney have all the names of attendees, so you just need to mention Livery Skiing and show ID if asked.

For the location of the Tourist Office, Pleney Ski Lift, Office and Hotel Equipe, see the map on the About page.

Ski & Equipment Hire
This year we are happy to be able to offer you special prices with a choice of two different suppliers.

Star-Ski

Once again we have been offered a great deal by Star-Ski Sports for ski, boot and helmet hire. They are happy to give us a discount of 20% off their (already competitive) rates and I am assured that they will have a good stock of quality skis suitable for racing.   When you make a booking, use the code liveryskiing on their booking system or if you speak to them in person. Their shop is at 77 Route du Téléphérique du Pléney just a 2 minute walk from the Pleney Lift Station. There isn't normally a discount on hires of less than 4 days. so this is a great deal. If you have special requirements they have requested that you email them in advance and tell them what you need. It all seems a bit laid back but has worked well for the last few years. Our discount may not show during booking, but will be applied when paying in the  shop.  They will also store hired skis and boots in their shop overnight which is convenient for the skilifts.  Here is a link to their website Star-Ski Sports  https://www.star-ski.fr/en/

Or....have your skis delivered to your Chalet or Hotel by DoorStepSkis

If you would like your equipment delivered to your accommodation, we have been offered a special price through a company called Doorstep Skis.  They are offering an extra 5% off their already discounted web rates - Check them out!

They have created a special link for us. Find it at:

Ski insurance (including racing cover)

Ski Race Insurance

VERY important!
It is imperative and indeed a condition of taking part, that everyone racing has the required ski
insurance.

Most ordinary holiday ski policies, including those offered with some bank accounts, do not cover
racing.  We introduce you to our house provider and sponsors, MPI Brokers  where you
can obtain good value insurance - even for short periods (minimum 3 days), which does include
our type of ski racing, under their ‘Wintersports’ policy.
MPI says:
"You will be offered various options from three package levels (Economy, Standard and Excel).
You can ‘pick and mix’ for example deleting the cancellation cover, or adding cover for Laptops (NB
You do NOT need the National /International Racing add-on, for this level of racing, which is one of
the other options available).
For those who have alternative insurance and simply wish to boost it for the racing, you could just
purchase a Winterports Economy Package, which would provide cover for mountain rescue and
emergency medical whilst skiing/amateur racing.

We are aware that some people have relied on Carte Neige as a backup alternative. Whilst it
covers mountain rescue and limited local medical cover it does not cover Third Part Liability or full
medical and repatriation and thus does not satisfy the insurance requirements for this event.
For those who arrive in resort with no insurance, you can even buy on line at the very last minute,
provided there has been no incident."

We are thrilled that MPI Brokers have again put together an offer for us.
Go to their website through this link  MPIBrokers and where it asks 'How did you hear of us?' type ''Inter-Livery'and choose Inter-Livery Skiing.  Now, when you book, you should get their best rate.

Please note, in the interests of transparency, MPI are a sponsor of Livery Skiing and may even give us a small commission!
